Park expansion enlarges ATV/Motorcycle Park to over 500 acres

Rome WI: Dyracuse Recreational Area, a regional ATV/UTV/motorcycle park owned and operated by the Town of Rome, has recently expanded. Taking advantage of a grant through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, the Town of Rome has just closed on the purchase of an 80 acre parcel of land adjacent to current park property. This is the second 80 acre purchase this year, and this brings the total park acreage to just over 500 acres. The majority of this purchase was paid for with grant funding, with the remainder coming out of the Dyracuse budget. This budget is totally funded with Dyracuse gate receipts and grant reimbursements, and no Rome taxpayer dollars go to fund this area's operating budget.

"Thanks to our partnership with the DNR and Off Road Vehicle Council, this expansion moves Dyracuse Recreational Area in to "first place" as Wisconsin's premiere intensive use ATV/Off road motor cycle park" said Town Administrator Mike Miller. "We look forward to developing a park that has technically challenging tracks for all skill groups".

We will work toward developing the 160 acres that were acquired in 2017, and look to further expand the facility as opportunities present themselves.
